April 28, 2012 DU it and TRI umph

DU it and TRI umph: triathlon and duathlon at Lake Tejas for 2012 was a great event.  See the Results page for a race sumary and complete results.  It was a great day for racing, and the athletes took advantage by posting some great times.  Congratulations to Rusty Stover of Diboll for winning the triathlon with a great time.  He smashed the old course record set by Jeremy Webb (formerly from Diboll, now living in Houston) in 2011. The men’s duathlon was won by Pedro Rodriguez of Round Rock with a time of 1:03:35.   As an added bonus this year: beautiful wildflowers on the bike course.
